Why Bellingham ?
Bellingham is the perfect city for a new premier level soccer club in the Northwest. With Western Washington University and Whatcom Community College in the region, there will be a  solid player pool to draw from. Bellingham is a very soccer-rich area, with facilities such as Northwest Soccer Park, Civic Field and Whatcom Community College's Orca Field, and with significant youth player development programs in WFC Rangers and WSA Rapids Academy. Bellingham is a proud city, which acts very independent of it's larger brethren to the north and south, in Vancouver and Seattle.

Why is the club called Bellingham United FC?
The name Bellingham United FC  (Football Club) was chosen along with the motto "United in Soccer", to represent the united communities within Whatcom County.
