An unassuming 5'7" 150 lbs. forward from Tacoma, Kellan Brown, impressed the Bellingham supporters and opponents around the league with his goal-scoring prowess in Bellingham United's inaugural season. His outstanding performance led to him being named the 2012 "Supporters' MVP" for BUFC.
#11 goes by the nickname "Chewy" and was well-known in Bellingham for his 4 year tenure at Western Washington Univ. where he amassed 69 goals in his college career.
"Kellan has been a force for us all season long" said BUFC President, Jeff McIntyre. "He is one of those players that always knows where to be on the pitch and has the motor and drive to continually apply pressure on defenses for the full 90 minutes."
Kellan finished the season with 10 goals, 4 assists, 3 "Hammer man of the match" awards and a club record 4 goals in one match. He also tied for the league lead in goal scoring.
Brown was presented with the 35 lb. solid steel "Supporters' MVP" trophy with his name freshly engraved, at halftime of the final regular season match in front of the Bellingham faithful.
